Description

The Tramping Shoe & Boot is a part of Tricker’s Heritage; made traditionally for pursuits in the British countryside. It’s based on a boot design from 1926.
Made with double vamp and counters, whole cut, perfectly smooth with a seamless inside. The upper is stitched in 80’s thread and a 12’s needle for a more refined finish.

The English aristocracy and titled landowners bought Tricker’s typically for weekend use. Tricker’s were the first choice for the country where they kept your feet dry whilst hunting, walking (called Tramping) and working in the land.

This last has been used for decades. It is part of their history and character as England’s oldest shoe manufacturer. The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4497s) is true to size, we recommend sticking to your regular UK Ssize.

The last is a hard, three-dimensional form on which the shoe is constructed. Depending on the style of shoe we use different lasts, this is what dictates the overall shape, proportion, fit and character of the shoe.

They have chosen a new leather called hydro nubuck which is tanned using a special weatherproof treatment, this means you can really get caught out in the April showers and your feet will remain dry.

The blend of the stylish Whisky finish and rugged functionality encapsulates the individuality of the Tricker’s wearer.

This high-quality European side leather has a water-resistant tannage. Oil impregnated this offers a high level of weather resistance without compromising on the beautifully soft nature of the skin

Like most water repellent leathers they are not designed for walking through water however in rain they will cope very well.

We advise letting these shoes dry naturally and then brush off any loose dirt with soft suede brush.
